How to use your BellyHug
The eco chic support for your pregnant belly
From early pregnancy to a few months after birth
BellyHug maternity belt grows with your baby and belly. BellyHug can be used from month four or even earlier if needed. BellyHug is comfortable, adjustable and beautiful. BellyHug is used after birth to hold in and exert pressure on the abdomen as the muscles return to normal.
Why BellyHug works
Tense muscles become weak - relaxed muscles become strong. * BellyHug let's your belly muscles relax as your hips carry the weight. * BellyHug wraps around your body, lifting and supporting your belly fully. * BellyHug effectivly moves the weight from your belly and back onto your pelvice. * Using BellyHug after birth it will exert pressure on the abdomen while your muscles return to normal.
Secrets of BellyHug
* The first secret of BellyHug is that it is made from non-stretch materials. * The second secret of BellyHug is in the design, that makes individual shaping, adjustment and tight fit possible - to effectivly lift off the weight from your belly and back muscles.
Wearing BellyHug
You can wear BellyHug over or under your clothes. Wear fairly tight fitting clothes underneath, and avoid loose jeans, baggy shirt or dress that might wrinkle and feel uncomfortable.
Wrap BellyHug in five easy steps:
1. Standing: Wrap BellyHug loosely around your body, crossing in back and sliding one end through the slit. Three very important points: * Lower rounded front should cover the pubic bone. * Upper straight front should be about four fingers width above your belly button. * Your hips should be well covered. They will be carrying the weight.
2. Lie on your back, feet firmly planted on the floor. Lying down relaxes your belly relaxes up and in. Lift pelvice off the floor and pull ends really tight. Relax your back against the floor while you grab the ends again and pull as hard as you can - harder than you might think at first. This will stretch and shape BellyHug to fit tight around your body.
3. Relax your back onto the floor so BellyHug stays in place as you cross the ends loosely in front under the belly and above the pubic bone.
4. Grab both ends with one hand as you roll to the side and stand up.
5. Tie in middle of back with a bow tie. Adjust as needed. To tighten it more you need to lie down again.
When BellyHug is wrapped right and tight it should relieve you from the weight of your belly.
If it does not feels confortable in any way, loosen it slightly and keep ajusting it untill feels comfortable.
Not having tied BellyHug tight enough is the most common reason that it doesn't seem to work as it should.
When not wearing your BellyHug keep it rolled up in it's own bag for easy access and protection.
